The Algarve enjoys more sunshine than any other place in Europe, helping to make it the popular destination it is.

The winters are mild and the summers hot, but not extreme. 

My own favourite time of year is Spring.  When it is gloomy in the UK it is bright and sunny in the Algarve.  When it rains there it tends to be heavy, short showers, which then clear quickly to brilliant sunshine. 

The exotic flowers are vibrant in the Spring, and the land green and luscious.  Perfect for a sunshine break.
